Farewell Service

Hymns, readings and a printed program for a Christian funeral

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how JY Concepts (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use farewellservice.com (the “Site”). JY Concepts is based in New York, USA. Questions: [email protected].

The short version

The planner runs in your own browser. The name, dates, photo, readers and words you type are kept in your browser and are never sent to us. We count how many programs are printed, with no personal information attached.

What stays in your browser

  • Your plan. The order of service, the person’s name and dates, the place and time, your choices, readers’ names and any words you type are saved in your browser’s local storage so you can come back to them. We can’t see them. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
  • The photo. A photo you add to the cover is read and shrunk by your browser and saved in its local storage. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
  • Share links. “Copy a link to this plan” puts the plan (not the photo) into the part of the web address after the # sign. Browsers don’t send that part to our servers. Anyone you give the link to can read the plan, so share it only with people you trust.

What we collect

  • A count of printed programs. When you print a program or show the slides, your browser sends us the date, which order of service you used and which output you chose. Nothing else: no name, no IP address is stored, no cookie.
  • Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, referring sites, countries and browser types. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you.
  • Technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks.
  • Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and email address to reply.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell or rent personal information, we don’t show ads, and we don’t ask you to sign up for anything.

Children

The Site is meant for adults planning a service and isn’t directed at children under 13.

Your choices and rights

You can delete your plan at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EEA or the UK), you may have rights to access or delete information we hold about you; since we hold almost none, write to us and we’ll help.

Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date above.
